3v3 Paintball Field: Official Dimensions, Layout & Everything You Need to Know

3v3 Paintball Feld: Maße, Aufbau & was du wissen musst

Official 3v3 Paintball Field Dimensions: Size, Layout & Rules 🎯

An official 3v3 paintball field is 50 meters long and 30 meters wide. That's the standard defined by the Millennium Series and the NXL (National Xball League) — the two dominant competitive paintball organizations in Europe and North America.

Three players. One field. Nowhere to hide. That's 3v3 paintball. ⚡

What's on the field?

The field uses inflatable obstacles called bunkers, arranged in a perfectly mirrored layout so neither team has a positional advantage. Each bunker type has a name players know by heart:

  • Snake – a low, elongated bunker running along the sideline
  • Doritos – triangular bunkers positioned in the mid-field
  • Temples – tall cylindrical or cube-shaped bunkers

Both teams start simultaneously from their back line, sprint to their opening positions, and either grab the flag in the center or eliminate all three opponents. 💥

How rules work in 3v3

Each game starts with a coin toss or buzzer signal. Players carry limited paint — typically 200 balls per player in competitive formats. You can't reload from the ground. Every shot counts.

The DYE DAM magfed marker fits this format perfectly: compact, accurate, and magazine-fed so you stay mobile. Pair it with a DYE i5 mask and you've got your head in the game — literally. 🎽

Legal note for international players 🌍

Paintball regulations vary by country. In most countries, paintball markers are classified as low-power air guns and are legal to use on licensed venues without special permits. Always check local regulations before purchasing or traveling with equipment. Players are typically required to be 18 years or older to participate. Protective gear — especially a CE-certified mask — is mandatory everywhere. ⚠️
